Chris spent a number of years in the Military with a primary focus on Counter Terrorism, Human Tracking and in particular Mountaineering (above and below the snow line) and deployed with the Special Forces Mountain Troop. Chris spent time in Mt Cook, Mt Ruapehu, Southern Alps and numerous other climbing mountaineering roles. Chris completed the Special Forces Tactical & Civilian Technical Mountaineering Courses and Avalanche Awareness Course run in the Southern Alps.
The military and the private sector has provided ample opportunity to travel the world and experience different cultures including; South Pacific, Africa, United Kingdom and Middle East and Asia.
Recently Chris has been actively involved with Schlumberger, a global Oil Field Service Provider as a Country Security Risk Manager in Pakistan to large multi-nationals such as BP, DNO, Southern Oil Company (Iraq) Chinese National Petroleum Company (CNPC), Marathon Oil, Sanjel and other major global oil and gas providers.
Other Multi-nationals include Lafarge, ABB and Parsons. Foreign offices include; British, Swedish and Egyptian Foreign Office liaising directly with state agencies, President of Iraq Mr Talibani, Prime Minisiter Bazani and the filming industry such as NBC-Universal that provided support to Henry Wrinkler (the Fonz), William Shatner (Captain Kirk), former Heavy Weight Champion of the World George Forman, Terry Bradshaw, 4 time Super Bowl Champion and Jeff Dye (US Comedian). Other tasks have assisting support for Taylor Swift and more recently the Saudi Royal Family.
Chris has studied towards a Masters in Science in Risk Management; Loughborough University, United Kingdom, is a Security Industry Authority (UK) license holder, a member of the New Zealand Special Air Services (SAS) Association and a member of the Institute of Directors, New Zealand.
